'Boom Boom Pow' hitmaker Will.i.Am has spoken out about the changing face of 'The Voice' and revealed that Jessie J's departure was as much a surprise to him as it was to the public.

During an interview with The Telegraph, the star confessed that he discovered the news through Twitter 'like everyone else':

"I wasn’t really surprised when I heard Jessie was leaving, but I was sad. She didn’t tell me she was going. I found out on Twitter, when everyone was talking about it.”

Following Jessie J's announcement, Danny O'Donoghue confirmed that he has also left his role on the show. Will.i.Am is yet to make a decision regarding his position on the panel and if he will return for the upcoming new season, but added:

"I don’t know if I’ll come back to the show next year. I haven’t thought that far ahead."
