Will Young enjoys social media: 'It's only invasive if you let it be'

Singer Will Young has revealed that he likes using social media to connect with his fans.

Speaking to Hunger magazine, the hitmaker admitted that it's great to be able to share parts of his life with the world as and when things happen to him:

"I don't think it's invasive. It's only invasive if you let it be. I kind of love it actually. Some days I do think, 'What the hell is this?' But then in terms of Instagram I always take pictures anyway so it's all about sharing. I think it's great that there's a place where people can share interesting images. And I like the fact that I can get in touch with fans and people that like me. The huge thing for people in the spotlight is that you can put to bed mistruths very quickly now."

Young, meanwhile, shot into the No.1 position on today's midweek albums chart update with his new offering, '85% Proof'. The album is currently around 1,000 combined sales ahead of its nearest competitor, which is The Vaccines' 'English Graffiti'.
