Will Young achieves his fourth UK chart-topping album

Will Young has returned to No. 1 on the UK album chart for the fourth time in his career.

‘85% Proof’ is the ‘Pop Idol’ winner’s sixth studio album and has reached the top of the chart in the same fashion as his 2002 debut ‘From Now On’, 2003’s ‘Friday’s Child’ and 2011’s ‘Echoes’.

Just behind at No. 2 is a new entry from The Vaccines with their second album ‘English Graffiti’.

Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ is up one place to No. 3. ‘Wilder Mind’ by Mumford & Sons is down one to No. 4. Sam Smith’s ‘In The Lonely Hour’ is a non-mover at No. 5.

New entries outside of the Top Five come from A$AP Rocky at No. 10 with ‘At.Long.Last.Asap’, the soundtrack to season one of the TV drama ‘Empire’ debuts at No. 18, Alesso’s ‘Forever’ at No. 24, and ‘Empires’ by Hillsong United at No. 34.

This week’s highest climber is ‘The Very Best Of Fleetwood Mac’ as it rises 68 places to No. 17

The most streamed album of the week is Ed Sheeran’s ‘X’ with around 2600 plays.
