Will Young has revealed that he was snubbed by new TV talent show The Voice at the last minute.

The singer told the Daily Star that he had been lined up to appear on the UK show but was replaced by The Script's Danny O'Donoghue.

And the Pop Idol winner believes the situation was handled badly. He said:

"Of course I'm disappointed not to be doing the show, not to mention how it's been handled. But the support from fans has been overwhelming. They really have been amazing."

As previously reported, O'Donoghue and Welsh crooner Tom Jones were added to the show as mentors, joining previously announced stars Jessie J and will.i.am.
