Screamin’ Rachael ​​who is known around the world as the Queen of House Music and the foremost female proponent of the genre as President of​ TRAX Records​​ the original home of House Music is taking a strong stand with her new single “​I Am House​.” It is a collaboration with legendary House pioneer ​Joe Smooth​​ whose visionary anthem ​“Promised Land​” has made him one of the most important figures known internationally for House Music. Together they tell the story of the true lifestyle that they and House followers lead, while presenting a mix package coordinated, by ​Carmelo Carone​​ featuring some of today’s hottest DJ’s, includingAL-Faris, Moussa Clarke, Zak Gee, Sam Sky, Sascha Dive​​, and ​Sonny Francini​​.

A lot of interesting things are happening for​ TRAX Records​​ and for House Music itself.

It is without question a sound that started in Chicago with ​Rachael​​’s label and has taken the world by storm. It was actually a beat that ​Kanye​​ and ​Drake​​ had an agreement to work on together. Then to everyone’s surprise including Kanye’s team it was release unauthorized, which started a major beef between ​Kanye ​​and ​Drake​​ that was covered inRolling Stone​​.
Ms. Cain​​ says: “We worked everything out with ​Def Jam​​ after the fact, so I have no complaints that the controversial hit “Lift Yourself” is burning up the charts! Lots of people said ​Kanye​​ was nuts because of his “poop de scoop” rap but everyone agreed that the ​TRAX ​​House beat was

FIRE! In fact, V​ iacom​​ used it for all commercials of the ​MTV ​​Video Music Awards!” Trouble is no one even knows it was a TRAX beat. There is a Wikipedia page for “Lift Yourself” and I tried to correct it and got banned for 7 months. I don’t care because I have the contract.

We are excited that the original “Boom Boom” is featured in the V​ amp Bikers Soundtrackalbum. It’s currently in pre- release and official on October 28th, but you can order it now. You’ve got to see this great film trilogy and hear the fabulous songs that feature some of the actors themselves, including the amazing ​Michael Musto​​, 1​ 3lackout,​​ ​Daniel DiCriscio​​,Wildstreet​​, and ​Chris Rivers​​ who is the son of iconic rapper ​Big Pun,​​ RIP.

Then an ​ABC Nightline​​ segment that ran in mid-October on ​David Guetta​​ started getting unprecedented attention, but not for the right reasons. The piece had branding ​Guetta ​​as the Godfather/Grandfather of House Music inciting a major outcry from House Music fans around the world disputing this assessment. ​Guetta​​ himself answered back that he was influenced by Chicago House and his favorite record was “​Love Can’t Turn Around”​ from ​TRAX​​. After years of being undervalued during the heyday of EDM, House Music is finally having its day and ​TRAX Records​​ is at the center of it all. “​Guetta​​ named all Trax artists,” says ​Screamin’ Rachael​​. “ I appreciate his talent, and I’m just glad that I now know how people around the world support us and believe in our sound.”

“I’m not angry with today’s biggest pop stars getting involved,” says​ Screamin’ Rachael​​. I’m not here to make fun of G​ uetta​​ as some House fans do. I appreciate his passion for House and his promotion of it, and some of his own great music. Everyone can be House as long as the originators like F​ rankie Knuckles, Jesse Saunders, Ron Hardy, Robert Owens​​, and others are recognized. The world has spoken and they agree!
