Hostile II has been completed and is set to be released this year. The book is the continuation of an Amazon best-seller titled “Hostile: An Urban Tragedy”, by Houston native Darius Slaughter.

The book is a true story of Darius, who as a young man, tried to live the American Dream but found himself faced with tremendous obstacles on all sides. In his quest for money, power and respect, he put his life at risk and temporarily lost his freedom. Due to his talents, brains, and will to survive, he was eventually led to success as an entrepreneur. Since his life changed around, he has explored his creativity. He pursued his passion for writing and reaching out to the youth. Today, he speaks to the youth and adults to empower them in an effort to prevent them from going astray. He ensures that his service dog, Doom, is with him almost everywhere he goes.

ABOUT DARIUS SLAUGHTER:

Darius Slaughter is a Houston, TX native who started writing while he was in elementary school. At an early age, he won short story contests and poetry contests. When he was in high school, he won state in journalism. Some of his favorite authors are Malcolm X and Isaac Asimov. Writing has always been his passion and was something that came naturally to him. Darius and his service dog, Doom, work to empower young minds by refocusing them on literacy, critical thinking, and discernment.
