Mason's Paradox is a story for the outcasts and the rebels of the world. The core theme is meaning, purpose, and systems of control.

As Mason, Lilo, and Tripp, travel their world. Each new location will provide a unique obstacle to their journey. And a chance for growth. Fabulous Fighting Fashion models, attention-starved bass guitarists, and a murderous maze of maize all make Mason's mission much more mortifying... man!

The Story

When an optimistic 15-year-old has a prophetic dream depicting the end times he must leave his cushy tourist trap hometown in order to prevent the ultimate apocalypse. With his two best friends, an overly organized tomboy and a big-mouthed video game enthusiast, Mason will fight, negotiate, and catwalk his way through bizarre new lands while discovering more about his own place in the universe. The answers are held in ancient artifacts, weapons of legendary power that have been used by great people throughout history. Can our heroes fight their way past moon dwelling monarchs, singing CEO’s, and merciless minions to prevent the end of our universe?

Our hero's journey will lead our trio to locations they never thought possible. Places far beyond the stars.

Enter Adestria, an Alien moon that is endangered by an oligarchical royal council that values their short term profits over the well-being of the average Adestrian. King Kulkhan, desperate to save his nation from its fate, sends his elite guard to Earth in order to hunt down these weapons of Legend. With them, he will have the power to defend his planet from all threats both internal and external.

Characters

Mason's kind heart is much bigger than his brain and sometimes that's a good thing.

A social butterfly, he's always going out of his way to meet new people. His unflappable go with the flow personality leads many to believe that he doesn't take anything seriously but when he sees wrong being done he'll move heaven and earth to make a difference. Having such a compassionate and fun-loving attitude often gets him into trouble but, he always learns from his mistakes. Mason is a openly gay character set to not have a story defined by his sexuality or stereotypes. Mason doesn't think much about what he wants out of life but, whatever it is, it has to involve his two best friends.

Lilo may seem prickly on the outside but, she's also prickly on the inside.

Lilo is the rugged adventurer of the group. Consumed by the hustle and bustle of the newly built metropolitan region of their town, Lilo never has time for herself. While her parents work in the city Lilo takes care of her household while juggling schoolwork and friendships. It's tough but, so is Lilo. That is until she realizes that she's been so busy working, she hasn't had time to think about what she wants out of her own life. Her journey is one of self-actualization. She wants the freedom to choose for herself what her future holds.

Tripp has the highest score on every game at the arcade, even the ones that don't keep score.

Tripp is a competitive wisecracker, always looking to put his money where his mouth is, even when he has no money. He loves the sweet taste of victory and has the drive to push himself further than even he thought possible... when he has proper incentive. His preferred play style is talking smack and spamming projectiles. This is exactly why his weapon of choice, Fail Not, the legendary bow, is perfect for him. To Tripp, gaining status is the measure of a life well-lived.

Mason’s Paradox has cast incredibly talented, well-known voiceover actors to take the show into the stratosphere of animated series worldwide. Leading the cast is Brendan Hunter (Hunter X Hunter, Dragon Ball GT, Ladies versus Butlers! , Cardfight!!Vanguard), Jonah Scott (Beastars, One Punch Man, Dying Light 2, Kengan Ashura, Final Fantasy VII Remake) and Michael Kovach (Hazbin Hotel, Blush Blush, Lackadaisy, Billie Bust Up), Blake Anderson, Stuart Anderson, Jordan Antle, Nola Klop, and Haley Hendrix.

Director/Creator Jacob Graham

Jacob Graham is a 21-year-old from California who has been dedicated to unleashing Mason's Paradox upon the world for over 25% of his life. Presently he gives 100% of his time to making this project the absolute best it can be. Jacob is proud that he can play a small part in the trend of positive change for the future. The next generation of queer youth should not have to wonder if their stories are worth telling. Jacob is one of a new generation of Gay Creatives that were raised during an unprecedented period of acceptance and advocacy for Gay rights. He was 4 years old when the first legal Same-Sex marriage took place in the U.S. and 12 years old when President Barrack Obama became the first sitting U.S. President to advocate for Same-Sex Marriage. Mason's Paradox couldn't exist 20 or even 10 years ago. Now... it's up to you.

Where’s The Money Going

The ultimate goal of our team is to get picked up by a network/streaming service. The money will be going toward the production of a pilot episode that will work as a proof of concept to aid in our search. The funding will massively increase the animation quality to a industry standard. We've set an ambitious goal of around $100,000 to cover the production of the pilot as well as the cost of any PR and networking we need to be done. Just know that if we are unable to bring our series to a network we won't give up! We would love to reach $400,000 at the end of all this.
