“LOVE FOREVER - DEMO RECORDINGS 1966-1968” by iconic female music innovator Jackie DeShannon is the first ever collection of largely unreleased songwriting demos and will be exclusively available on Record Store Day, April 12, 2025 @ participating independent record stores via Real Gone Records. The vinyl offering appears in a sweet crimson red with white cotton candy swirls and includes photographs from her private collection and extensive liner notes celebrating a new interview from Jackie. Pressed for Record Day only, the rare edition vinyl will be limited to only 1250 copies worldwide.

Grammy Award winning recording star Jackie DeShannon remains one of the most influential singer/songwriters and trailblazers belonging to the very heartbeat of rock and roll. Globally recognized for her hit songs including “Put A Little Love in Your Heart” (co-written by DeShannon, Randy Myers & Jimmy Holiday), “What the World Needs Now (inducted into the Library of Congress), and “Bette Davis Eyes” (Grammy winning Song of the Year in 1982), DeShannon has also worked and written songs for a myriad of artists including: The Byrds, Marianne Faithful, Van Morrison, Jimmy Page, & Brenda Lee which only touches the surface of her accomplishments. She toured with The Beatles on their inaugural visit to the US, was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and can additionally be heard on Sirius XM as correspondent bringing news of the Beatles on “Breakfast With The Beatles.”

National Record Store Day began in 2009 to celebrate the culture of record stores and the vital roles they played for artists and their fans. The day also serves as an inspiration for musicians, record store owners and those who love nostalgia. Record Store Day is observed in six continents and in many large cities across the globe as a holiday commemorating the joy of music and the creativity artists share with the world.

Although some of the 16 introspective tracks on “Love Forever” might have appeared on bootleg CDs at one time or another there has never been a complete authorized commercial issue of these demos until now. “Love Forever” provides a tapestry of “a timeless artist evolving with the times.”
