From the silver screen to the global stage, Randy Edelman has spent a lifetime composing the soundtrack of our shared memories. As he graces the stage at Lincoln Center, we celebrate not only his extraordinary body of work, but the spirit of a man whose music has transcended genres, borders, and generations.

Born in New Jersey, Randy’s journey began with a passion for melody that could not be contained. After studying at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, he quickly made his mark as a songwriter in New York, penning hits covered by legends plike Barry Manilow (“Weekend in New England”), Patti LaBelle, Olivia Newton-John, and The Carpenters. His songs, tender yet timeless, became staples on radio waves and in hearts around the world.

But it was his move to Los Angeles that expanded his canvas. Hollywood soon discovered Randy’s gift for capturing emotion through score, and he went on to compose for some of the most iconic films of our time. Last of the Mohicans, Dragonheart, Gettysburg, Kindergarten Cop, and The Mask — all elevated by his sweeping, evocative compositions. His music has colored pivotal scenes, inspired audiences, and left an indelible mark on cinema history.

Beyond the awards and accolades, Randy Edelman’s legacy lies in his ability to connect — to tell stories without words, to stir souls with a single note, and to create melodies that linger long after the credits roll. His themes have been heard around the world, from Olympic ceremonies to Super Bowl broadcasts, quietly threading his genius through the fabric of global culture.

Yet, his performance at Lincoln Center marks more than just his debut at the iconic stage. It is a full-circle moment for a composer whose heart has always been as grand as his orchestrations. It is a celebration of a life devoted to beauty, emotion, and the universal language of music.

As Randy takes his place at the piano on June 6, 2025 we are reminded: great music doesn’t just accompany our lives — it shapes them. And few have shaped that music, across so many mediums and moments, quite like Randy Edelman.
