You Me At Six are in pole position for this week's No.1 album in the UK.

The Official Charts Company have confirmed that the English rockers' new effort 'Cavalier Youth' is sitting pretty at the top of the UK albums chart today (January 29).

It is outselling the list's No.2 - Ellie Goulding's 'Halcyon' - by three copies to one and it is set to give the group their first No.1 album.

You Me At Six's last record - 2011's 'Sinners Never Sleep' - reached No.3.

At No.3 on the UK albums chart midweek update meanwhile is Beyoncé's self-titled effort whilst Avicii's debut album 'True' is No.4.

Completing the top five is Sophie Ellis-Bextor's 'Wanderlust'.
