Zayn has topped the Billboard Pop Songs chart with his debut solo single, 'Pillowtalk'.

The British singer-songwriter's track has moved up two places to No. 1 on the list. The chart is based on mainstream radio airplay in the US.

His old band One Direction never managed to reach No. 1 on the list with their single 'What Makes You Beautiful'. Instead, it peaked at No. 3 on the chart in 2012.

Zayn's chart-topping track features on his 2016 debut album Mind of Mine. He co-wrote the track with Anthony Hannides, Michael Hannides, Joe Garrett, and its producer Levi Lennox. The song was released as the lead single from the album on January 29 of 2016, along with its official music video which features Gigi Hadid.

'Pillowtalk' also debuted at No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart and on the Billboard Hot 100, making Zayn the first British artist to debut at No. 1 in the US with a debut single.
