Zayn Malik's northern accent confuses Gigi Hadid's sister

Model Bella Hadid has revealed that her sister Gigi’s boyfriend, solo sensation Zayn Malik, has an accent that confuses her.

Chatting to Britain’s The Sun newspaper about Zayn’s northern accent, she joked that when they first met she would just nod and smile whenever he spoke because she couldn’t understand him:

"At the beginning I didn’t understand a lot of what he was saying and would just go ‘Oh that’s funny’ and nod along. But I’m slowly getting there. He has been trying to teach me the northern lingo, he just speaks the way he speaks and that’s it, I guess.”

Earlier this week, it was announced that Zayn had cancelled his upcoming performance at the Autism Rocks event on October 7 in Dubai due to "extreme anxiety". Back in June, Zayn pulled out of the Capital FM Summertime Ball at the last minute at the hands of the same issue.

He issued a statement on axing his Dubai set and said: "I have been working over the last three months to overcome my extreme anxiety around major live solo performances I feel I am making progress but I have today acknowledged that I do not feel sufficiently confident to move forward with the planned show in Dubai in October."
