Zayn spoke to Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 show on April 16 about his upcoming second solo album. 

He said: 'It's all very like, under wraps at the minute. I'm trying to keep it as mysterious as possible but there's a plan with the rollout.

'It's going to be different to anything anyone has done before, I don't think anyone has done it this way. So it's going to be interesting to see how the audience react to this kind of release, but I wanted to try something different.

It's all going to make sense in the end when the album finally drops. There is an album title, I have the whole concept and everything done.

He then took time to praise his fans, he said: 'My fan base are really understanding about what kind of artist I am, they really given me the space. I wasn't as prominent throughout the promo on my first record, as maybe I would have liked to have been.'
