Stampede, A Massive New Urban Music Festival comes to the O2 Ritz on Saturday 21st July. Following in the Footsteps of Manchester's world renowned music and dance heritage, a new generation of Urban Dance Music Hits the City This Summer.

Showcasing some of Manchester's finest talent with a dash of other UK acts this is a cocktail of urban elements which will appeal to the biggest fans of the genre. This is not just a music festival, but true celebration of urban culture & music.

FEATURING

Lowkey

Lowkey is an award-winning rapper, poet, playwright and political activist. Having gained huge acclaim from the hip hop press he has gone on to impress critics on Radio 4 and challenge mainstream stereotypes of hip hop artists.

Mic Righteous

Mic Righteous was born Rocky Takalobighasion in Kent. His parents had fled Iran during the 1979 revolution and moved to England in the early 80s in order to create a new life. However like many immigrant families of the time they quickly fell into a cycle of crushing poverty increasing desperation and drug abuse. At 17 he joined rap crew 'The Kraftsmen' based in Brixton. Mic featured on English Franks 'The Hardway' album that Frank independently released and distributed over 60,0000 copies of.

Now with over 2 million you-tube hits, his growing online presence was noticed was noticed by top UK producer Naughtyboy and in April 2011 Mic secured a publishing deal with naughtywords / Sony ATV.

The Moods

The Moods have been wisely described as "Rage Against the Machine, The Prodigy and The Happy Mondays mixed into a grime-soufflé". Formed in Manchester in 2014, this 10-strong band unifies rap, brass and strings, delivering a brilliant fusion of drum & bass, hip-hop, reggae and EDM. All ten Moods bringing their own unique style and energy to every single live set, meaning their mighty music always sparks off a contagious need to dance from the very first song on the setlist.

The Moods' debut album Missing Peace was released in September 2017 and rapidly made a phenomenal impact, with physical and download sales in over 24 countries, hundreds of thousands of streams and stellar reviews. Two powerful singles: Joy and P.O.P (Profit over People) received multiple plays on BBC Radio Lancashire & Sheffield, along with 35 other UK, regional and student FM stations. Further afield, global internet radio stations broadcasted tracks from Missing Peace to over 100 countries, whilst videos racked up in excess of 40,000 views on YouTube, Facebook, & Vevo TV.

Lunar C

Lunar C (Born Jake Brook) is a Bradford, UK rapper whose witty, intelligent bars and sense of comic timing have earned him a reputation in the battle scene. With an undefeated record in the Don't Flop Championships, the UK's largest and most well-known battle-rap contest, and several well produced tracks under his belt, Lunar looks set to be an up-and-coming thing in the UK underground Hip Hop scene
