Adam Lambert sent his thoughts to David Bowie and Elvis Presley as they celebrated their birthdays.

The two music icons share the same birthday - January 8 - and the vocal powerhouse took to Twitter to pay tribute.

He posted a photo of Bowie, who turned 67, before uploading a classic snap of late star Elvis, who would have been 79.

Lambert meanwhile recently took to Twitter to express his joy at being a full-time singer and entertainer, proclaiming that he "loves life".

The 'Trespassing' man said: "I am living an American Dream. Being an entertainer is owning my own small business. I am so grateful to have earned this right. ;)."

Lambert continued: "And when I go to "the office" I have the joy of singing, writing, acting, listening, dressin up, and working w other talents. I LOVE life."
