Adam Lambert finishes third in 'Top Earning 'American Idol' Stars'

Forbes magazine has just released its list of the most successful 'American Idol' stars of 2013 where earnings are concerned and vocal sensation Adam Lambert, Kelly Clarkson and Philip Phillips all made the cut.

Lambert, who is tied with 'Home' singer Phillips, finished third with a total of $5 million (£3 million) and his co-manager Martin Kirkup told the magazine that he has so much more to achieve and he's only just getting started:

"Adam used the launching pad of 'American Idol' very well to have a successful recording career. I think the main part of his career still lies ahead of him."

Clarkson, meanwhile, came in second with $7 million (£4.2 million) and 'Blown Away' beauty Carrie Underwood topped the list at No.1 with a staggering $31 million (£18.8 million) under her belt.

Forbes confirms that the findings "reflect pretax earnings from June 2012 through June 2013".

'Trespassing' hitmaker Lambert will appear on the forthcoming sixth season of 'RuPaul's Drag Race' (pictured below) as a guest judge and a promotional video for his slot premiered earlier this week.
