Adam Lambert on his new 'greatest hits' album: 'Sony picked a great selection'

Earlier this week it was confirmed that Adam Lambert's greatest hits will be released via Sony Legacy and the vocal powerhouse has now revealed that he's excited about the record's forthcoming unveiling.

When asked by one of his followers on Twitter if he's happy with Sony Legacy releasing the 'The Very Best of Adam Lambert' album after he departed from the RCA label last year, Lambert explained that the bosses "picked a great selection" of songs and he supports it:

"Yes of course... I'm quite proud of all those records! Sony picked a great selection."

The 'Trespassing' sensation returned to the social networking site earlier today (April 30) and told his fans that he's recording songs for his new album and is due to begin rehearsing for the Queen tour very soon: "I'm currently working on music for my next album and will soon begin rehearsals for the Queen Tour! I'm so excited!!!!"

Rolling Stone magazine recently named Lambert and Queen's upcoming north American tour as one of this summer's forty hottest tours to attend.
