Adam Lambert on new album: 'I'm a very 'fly by the seat of my pants' kind of creative person'

'Trespassing' sensation Adam Lambert is currently working on a brand new record and has given fans a little taste of what to expect from this new collection of songs.

During a new interview with Australia's Byron Cooke, Lambert confessed that he can't reveal anything specific about his forthcoming new album although he's willing to admit that nothing was heavily pre-planned in terms of sound and style:

"I'm very much a fly by the seat of my pants kind of performer and creative person, I don't like to plan things out too much - I kind of just let things happen. I've been in the studio a lot over the past couple of months, and I'm really excited and really happy with the material I'm recording and writing."

He also recently told news.com.au that he expects the record will 'surprise' and 'impress' his fanbase: "[The new music will] surprise and impress people - some of it is unexpected, which I love."

The superstar is due to head out on tour with Queen across north America next month and the jaunt is due to kick off on June 19 at the United Center in Chicago.
