Adam Lambert: 'At first playing with Queen freaked me the f**k out'

Adam Lambert has admitted that he initially found performing with Queen daunting.

The singer has enjoyed a fruitful relationship with the UK rockers over the past couple of years as they sporadically performed live together.

However, this year has seen the band embark on a prolonged touring schedule and it helped them win the Band of the Year prize at the Classic Rock Awards on Tuesday (November 4).

Speaking as he collected one of the awards, Lambert said:

"It's been such an honour to be on stage with such an iconic band and legends like this. At first it freaked me the f**k out, and then I started really enjoying myself and learning from these gentlemen and trying to take it all in.

"And I'm so lucky, so thank you."

Guitarist Brian May had earlier said that their coming-together with Lambert was an "organic" one.
