Adam Lambert tops Google trending searches list after Queen gig

Vocal powerhouse Adam Lambert has topped the list of Google's trending searches in the UK following a high-profile concert with Queen.

The band performed a live gig in London that was broadcast on BBC One on Wednesday (December 31) for the network's New Year's Eve celebrations.

It seems that singing sensation Lambert has piqued the interest of the UK public, with the US star topping Google's trending searches list. At the time of writing (January 1), Lambert had over 200,000 searches on the website.

The second placed search term was Jools Holland, who had only 20,000 plus searches.

Queen and Lambert, meanwhile, are due to tour the UK in January and February.
