Adam Lambert has expressed his desire to appear in TV show Penny Dreadful.

The singer previously starred in hit series Glee as guest character Elliott Gilbert.

It seems more acting is in Lambert's sights, with the US star telling the Daily Star:

"I want to keep putting out albums first of all and maybe film and TV in future, that would be fun - I had a great time doing Glee."

When asked about his dream role, Lambert responded:

"I'm really into Penny Dreadful right now. It's so good, so clever."

The singer meanwhile released his new album 'The Original High' today (June 15) in the UK.
