Adam Lambert announces free beach performance in California

'Ghost Town' superstar Adam Lambert has confirmed that he will be performing at the upcoming World Series of Beach Volleyball next month and the concert will be free to attend.

The vocal powerhouse took to his official Twitter page this evening to share the exciting news and told his followers: "I'm headlining the #WSOBV festival by @iHeartRadio on Aug 22 in Long Beach, CA! It's free - I'll see you on the beach!"

Other musical acts that will also take the stage at the sporting event include American Authors, The Mowgli's and Danny Mercer.

Lambert, meanwhile, recently appeared on 'The Talk' and opened up about his new sound, telling the hosts: "It's a bit different to what I've done in the past. I think it's a bit more grounded and a little more introspective. It's not quite as over the top and theatrical as some of my other stuff. It's still me singing my heart out, but there's more nuance and dynamics. The production is very current - very pop. There's something on there for everybody... I'm really proud of it."
