Adam Lambert has shot to the top of the iTunes charts in Australia.

At the time of writing, the singer's track 'Ghost Town' is No.1 on the country's iTunes list.

His latest album 'The Original High' is also at the top of the digital retailer's Australian chart.

The US star is in the country at the moment, with the vocalist recently performing on The Voice Australia.

Lambert also recently announced plans to perform in the region next year in support of 'The Original High'.

The dates are as follows:

• January 25, 2016 - Melbourne Palais Theatre
• January 28, 2016 - Adelaide Entertainment Centre
• January 30, 2016 - Sydney Enmore Theatre
