Adam Lambert's video director reveals inspiration behind it

The director of Adam Lambert’s latest video, ‘Another Lonely Night’, has spoken about where inspiration for the clip came from.

Luke Gilford, the director behind Lambert’s video, chatted with the Las Vegas Review Journal about his work with the ‘Ghost Town’ star.

Speaking about the setting for the shoot, Gilford said: “We've all seen the Strip. I'm interested in the more gritty parts of Las Vegas, the underbelly of the glamour. Both Adam and I wanted to represent the darkness and alienation that can come with entertainment. So for me, it was important to find places that are not corporate or glossy but more independent and original.”

He added: “The legendary producer Max Martin is one of my heroes, and he had worked on the album with Adam, so I was excited to hear what they'd made together. When I heard 'Another Lonely Night,' I immediately thought of Las Vegas and suggested a storyline where Adam plays a struggling lounge singer in Vegas.”

Adam himself recently said of his director: “I've known Luke Gilford for years - we run in some of the same circles in LA. I have been a fan of all of the work he’s been doing lately”.
