Adam Lambert on Rocky Horror remake: 'I thought it was a risky idea'

Singer Adam Lambert has revealed that he was initially wary of the new Rocky Horror remake, in which he plays the role of Eddie, because it's such an iconic movie.

During a new interview with Laura Whitmore for The Hot Desk, he spoke about his involvement in the new Rocky Horror Picture Show tv remake and his crazy schedule.

When asked when he finds time to sleep, the 'Ghost Town' sensation joked that being on tour gives him the most downtime to unwind: "When I'm travelling most of the time... when I can! I haven't been sleeping as much as I used to, but I think I need less sleep these days! It's overrated."

"It's an incredible original film... It's shocking. Especially for then... when I was a kid and I first saw it, I was like 'can they do that?!' That was the thing - it is so iconic and such a cult hit that when I heard they were re-doing it, I was like 'ooh, that's a little risky, how are they going to do that?'"

"I thought about it and thought 'well, they haven't announced the role of Eddie, he's in like one song...' and I was like 'I bet we can work something out!' [...] It's fun. I think people are going to love it. It's very sexy."
