Adam Lambert shares exciting news about 'Rocky Horror Picture Show'
Vocal powerhouse Adam Lambert delighted fans earlier this year after he announced that he would be playing the role of Eddie in the TV reboot of 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' and he has now confirmed the project's release date.
He took to his official Twitter page last night and explained that fans will be able to watch the reworked version of the iconic movie in just a few months:
"It's official! 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' will air on @FOXTV on October 20th! Mark your calendars!"
Back in May, Lambert confessed that he was initially wary of the remake because the film is so incredible and beloved: "It's an incredible original film... It's shocking. Especially for then... when I was a kid and I first saw it, I was like 'can they do that?!' That was the thing - it is so iconic and such a cult hit that when I heard they were re-doing it, I was like 'ooh, that's a little risky, how are they going to do that?'"
Earlier this week Christina Milian, who will play Magenta, told Entertainment Tonight that they didn't want this new version to "replace" the original: "It's really fun to see all of us bring our own take to these characters, and also just pay homage to the original."
