Adam Lambert loves Australian life: "It has the energy you need to express yourself"

Former 'American Idol' finalist Adam Lambert has revealed that relocating to Australia while he works as a judge on 'The X Factor' has been a fantastic experience so far.

Chatting to Seven Days magazine recently, he explained that there's a really laid-back and warm energy that he loves: "I love Australia. Just as a location being on tour over there and hanging out there for the auditions, the energy in Australia is great."

The "Ghost Town" star added: "People are very friendly and very laid back. I think it creates a great environment for creative people because there's like a freedom and ease about it and I think that's one of the things you really need to express yourself."

Adam Lambert, who also stars in the new TV remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, also told the magazine that he can relate to the contestants more than the other judges as he has been in their shoes: "I kept remembering what it felt like to be in their shoes, to walk into a room and be nervous, to be hopeful and have all this pressure on yourself to do well."
