To say Adam Lambert has had an amazingly busy year would be an understatement.

The chipper chappie has been on the road with Queen, played a Las Vegas residency with the iconic band, voiced Emperor Maximus for Playmobil: The Movie and appeared on the Halloween Wicked musical special.

The Two Fux singer also returned to The X Factor as a guest judge, helped out charities such as GLADD and the Mosaic LGBT Youth Centre and guested on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. 

All the time whilst recording for his brand new solo album, changing management, as well taking part in magazine photo shoots and promo work.

It should come as no surprise to his legion of fans that he's going to take some well-earned rest over the holidays.

Speaking to Mario Lopez earlier this month, the vocal powerhouse revealed: 

"I'm just going to chill with friends and family and probably gain about 20 pounds worth of sweets, good food and wine and then January do a lot of cardio!"

After this rest fans should expect brand new solo music and another tour with Queen, the Rhapsody Tour.
