Adam Lambert on his Taylor Swift video appearance

Adam Lambert is set to appear in a scene in Taylor Swift's You Need to Calm Down music video with Ellen DeGeneres.

The video will receive its global premiere on Good Morning America today on June 17.

The music superstar spoke on the Australian radio show, Smallzy on Sunday, and explained how the cameo appearance came about:

"It was like a random thing. I ran into Taylor at the Ellen show... she was like, 'Hey, you wanna film a scene with Ellen?' and I said, 'Yeah.' So look out for it... it's me and Ellen.

"That's all I can tell you. I think I've been, like, sworn to secrecy."

Swift has also announced that other stars appearing in her new video include: Ryan Reynolds, Laverne Cox, RuPaul, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, the cast of Queer Eye, Billy Porter, Todrick Hall and Adam Rippon.
