Adam Lambert and Queen's festival reunion is still just a rumour

Adam Lambert's incredible performance with Queen at the 2011 EMAs has inspired an onslaught of unofficial festival rumours as the summer approaches.

The iconic stadium rock band have graced many a stage at outdoor music events over the years and may even appear at one of the UK's alternative festivals in a few months' time.

Recent reports suggest that the 'Whataya Want From Me' star is going to join Queen temporarily as the frontman for a live set at Sonisphere, but Pressparty can confirm that this is still only just a rumour.

This morning, February 3, the Daily Star quoted Lambert as saying: "The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f*****g great songs. It’s to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of.”

The organisers of Sonisphere haven't yet officially added Queen to the line up for 2012 nor has Lambert genuinely given anything away on the possible appearance.
