Adam Lambert speaks out about Sonisphere cancellation

Adam Lambert has opened up about the cancellation of this year's Sonisphere Festival in the UK, at which he was scheduled to perform in July alongside legendary rockers Queen.

The vocal sensation took to his Twitter page earlier this evening, March 29, and wrote that he hopes there will be another opportunity to step into the shoes of the late Freddie Mercury following the shocking news that the event will no longer happen:

"While I'm sad that the Sonisphere festival has been cancelled, I'm hopeful that Queen and I will share a stage again someday in the future."

Queen also addressed the situation themselves this morning and told fans in an official statement that they "are working to see if we can redress the situation at some other venue".
