Adam Lambert aims to inspire "out artists" and LGBT youth alike with 'Trespassing'

Following Adam Lambert's recent stateside chart success with 'Trespassing', he revealed that there's one goal in particular he would love to achieve with the record.

'Trespassing', the superstar's sophomore offering, was released in America last week (May 15) and has now secured the top spot on the Billboard 200 making him the first openly gay recording artist to debut at No.1 on the U.S. albums chart.

Speaking to Music Week, he explained that his ambition with this new studio album is simple and he hopes to inspire members of the LGBT community all over the world:

"I hope it helps to open the door for other out artists and encourages LGBT youth to follow their dreams."

Referring to his recent No.1 position that earned him a place in the history books, Lambert added: "It proves the point that great music doesn't have an orientation."
