Adam Lambert 'donates' his birthday to the We Are Family Foundation

'Trespassing' hitmaker Adam Lambert has continued his philanthropy into the new year by 'donating' his birthday to a non-profit organisation in order to raise money for charity.

The vocal sensation is offering fans the chance to sign the "World's Biggest Birthday Card" by pledging different amounts of money in return for different levels of involvement.

A message on the foundation's site explains that if you "donate $31 or more and we'll send you instructions on how to upload a 10 second video birthday message that we'll put together as the World's Biggest Birthday Card for Adam! Donate less than $31 and we'll show you how to sign the birthday card."

The site also confirms that the funds received will then be used to "directly support We Are Family Foundation's initiatives that empower youth around the globe to help make the world a better place".

Lambert's followers can go to http://wearefamilyfoundation.org/donate to make their donation and help celebrate his 31st birthday, which falls on January 29, in an unforgettable way. Billboard.com reports that donations have already surpassed $16,000 (£10,000).
