Adam Lambert addresses concert cancellation news

Adam Lambert has apologised to fans for the cancellation of his Manila concert.

The star was due to perform in the capital city of the Philippines on March 1 at the SM North EDSA Skydome, however it was announced earlier this week that the event has been called off.

The cancellation was announced via the SM Tickets Facebook page, citing “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason.

The statement to fans read: “You may refund where you purchased your tickets any day during mall hours (10am-9pm). Please surrender your tickets upon refund. Only tickets bought from our outlets can be refunded. No ticket, no refund. Thank you for your continued patronage."

Lambert has now addressed the cancellation after a number of dismayed fans posted online about the disappointing news.

He wrote on Twitter: "Sad bout Manila. Wanted to play show but due to the non-fulfillment of contractual obligations of the local promoter, we had to cancel it.

He added: "In other words- out of my control... ;( (sic)."
