Adam Lambert lays down vocals on "great song" as studio work continues

Adam Lambert has updated fans on his studio progress on Twitter.

As previously reported, the singer's rep confirmed to Pressparty on Thursday (August 15) that the vocal powerhouse had returned to the recording studio.

His last album came in the shape of 2012's 'Trespassing' and it seems the wheels are in motion for his next record.

Speaking on Twitter today (August 16), Lambert revealed that he has been working on a "great" new track, saying:

"Just got home from the studio. Recorded vocals to a great song! It's coming along!"

Lambert also denied that he has taken up smoking after he uploaded a photo to Instagram of himself blowing what looked like smoke out of his mouth. He said:

"Glamberts: I wasn't smoking. It was a VAPORENE. No nicotine, no smoke- Just vapor. They're harmless. But I appreciate the concern ;)."
