Adam Lambert and Demi Lovato have begun filming scenes for Glee.

Both stars signed up to appear in the US TV series' fifth series and they have now hit the set to record their parts.

A photo uploaded by Glee icon Lea Michele entitled 'NYC Crew' shows Lambert and Lovato behind microphones alongside the actress, Naya Rivera and Chris Colfer.

Lovato can be seen with a guitar strapped around her, whilst they are all backed up by a full band.

Few details have emerged about Lambert's role in Glee so far, but Lovato is due to play Naya Rivera's love interest.
