Adele's 'Hello' has broken the 24-hour Vevo views record in style.

The singer released the video on Friday (October 23) to promote her comeback single.

Vevo have confirmed that it enjoyed 27.7 million views in its first day online.

This easily beats the previous record of 20.1 million, which was achieved by Taylor Swift's 'Bad Blood' earlier this year.

The record-holder before Swift was Nicki Minaj's 'Anaconda' with 19.6 million.

'Hello' is the first song to be lifted from Adele's upcoming third album.

The Brit will unleash '25' on November 20.

The single is on course to easily top the UK chart on Friday (October 30).

She had been absent from music for a few years following the birth of her first child Angelo in 2012.
