Adele says her size may have helped her by making her "relatable"

British singer-songwriter Adele says that she doesn't hold anything against pop stars who show off a lot more flesh than she does, but she also won't be following them anytime soon.

She said: "Would I show my body off if I was thinner?"

"Probably not, because my body is mine. But sometimes I'm curious to know if I would have been as successful if I wasn't plus-size. I think I remind everyone of themselves."

The star added that her size is "relatable because I'm not perfect, and I think a lot of people are portrayed as perfect, unreachable and untouchable."

Adele explains that her comeback single, 'Hello,' is about moving beyond your teens and early 20s, when she used to drink frequently.

She says that her son Angelo "completely rules" her life now, and that herself and Angelo's father, 41-year-old former investment banker Simon Konecki, are still together but have no plans to marry.
