Adele expresses her opinion about music streaming services

After withholding her record-breaking album 25 from music streaming services, Adele has spoken out about the digital music medium.

Talking to Rolling Stone about how people consume music through the likes of Spotify, the ‘Hello’ superstar stated: “It probably is the future, but, eh.”

Adele also voiced shock over younger generations not knowing what CDs are: “There are kids I know who are, like, nine who don’t even know what a f***ing CD is! I’ve got my CDs out on display in my house just to prove a point. Maybe CDs will have a massive comeback like vinyl did.”

She went on to joke about a potential revival of the cassette tape format: “Actually, I think cassettes, just to be a pain in the ass! I’ve got all my Destiny’s Child cassettes!”

Adele’s 25 has already become the fastest-selling album in American chart history and the biggest-selling No. 1 LP in the UK of all time.
