Adele has revealed that she turned down the offer from her record company to relocate to the States. 

The 23-year-old told The Sun that London is her home and she won't be moving anywhere:

"I am a London girl through and through. I felt very uncomfortable in Malibu. I felt at home with my producer Rick Rubin and the studio was incredible, but it's not my kind of area".

She said that even though she had a great time there when she was recording her huge album, '21', the lifestyle wouldn't suit her:

"Everyone lives behind a gate as they have so much money they don't leave. It was a very surreal experience. I'm from a pretty rough area in London, so working in Malibu was a dream - but then I got brought back down to earth...Everyone has to drive there. I thought I would walk to a cute little waterfront cafe and hang out, but you can't walk anywhere there."

Adele recently had to cancel her American tour due to health issues.
