Adele celebrates 16 weeks at No.1 in the U.S. with '21'

Songstress Adele has spent a phenomenal 16 weeks at No.1 in the Billboard 200 album chart, making her one of only 5 artists in existence to have achieved this feat.

The incredible success of her latest record, '21', has put her in a league table that only includes 4 other names.

The other 4 albums to have spent 16 weeks at the top of the U.S. charts are 'Some Gave It All' by country star - and father to Disney star Miley - Billy Ray Cyrus, 'Ropin' The Wind' by Garth Brooks, the original soundtrack to the blockbuster 'Titanic' and the soundtrack from 'The Bodyguard'.

This marks yet another record-breaking moment for Adele who also claimed the highest annual sales figures for an album of the past 7 years
