Adele's 21 climbs back to top of UK album chart

Adele’s record-breaking ‘21’ has climbed back to the top of the UK album charts to land an incredible 22nd week at number one.

The 23-year-old’s second album last reached the top spot back in February, but following the BBC broadcast of her Royal Albert Hall gig last Thursday, has now pushed Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ down to No.2.

US Southern rock outfit Alabama Shakes had to settle for the No.3 position after leading the midweeks with their debut album, ‘Boys & Girls,’ just ahead of Jessie J’s ‘Who We Are,’ Emeli Sande’s ‘Our Version Of Events’ and Lana Del Rey’s ‘Born To Die.’

Elsewhere, there were new entries for West End star Ramin’s self-titled debut, Counting Crows’ ‘Underwater Sunshine (Or What We Did On Our Summer Vacation)’ and Florence + the Machine’s ‘MTV Unplugged.’
