Adele hopes to still be singing in ten years' time

Superstar singer Adele has said she wants to still be performing in a decade's time.

However, she isn't too keen on having all the tabloid attention that comes with the role of being a global icon.

Speaking on an NBC special with Matt Lauer, the singer said she still hopes to have a bit of "clout" in ten years' time. When asked however if she would like to still be one of the world's most discussed artists in ten years' time, she replied:

"No. I just want to make music. I don't want anyone chatting about me."

She added: "I mean, I still hope I have a little bit of clout in ten years' time, but all I've ever really wanted to do is sing."

Adele in the same interview also revealed that she recently walked about London's busy Trafalgar Square in pyjamas in an effort to remain unnoticed.
