Jedward have revealed that Edward is to undergo knee surgery following his injury at T4 On The Beach yesterday (July 4).

Grimes twisted his knee on stage during the duo's performance and it was first thought the singer had broken his leg.

However, his brother John has updated fans, saying, "Edward has torn his knee ligaments and will have to get surgery. He is going to make a quick recovery and we are excited to finish our album promotion and Irish tour dates. Thanx to all our fans for all the love and support."

The boys manager Louis Walsh said, "He is expected to make a quick recovery and Jedward are determined to see out their album promotion and Irish tour commitments."
