Drake forced to axe gig

Drake has been forced to cancel plans to perform at another New York gig due to safety concerns.

The Canadian rapper was hoping to perform at Central Park on July 16 as part of ABC's Good Morning America concert series but the event has now been pulled because officials were unable to provide enough security for the special one-off show.

An ABC spokesman told the New York Daily News, "We were interested in having Drake perform, but he was never officially booked."

This is the second concert for Drake that has been axed. Last month his planned performance at New York's South Street Seaport was also cancelled due to over-crowding when 25,000 fans turned up.
