Florence Welch broke down on stage last night after announcing that she will be taking a break from touring. 

The Florence And The Machine frontwoman made the announcement before playing a new song called, 'Strangers and Chants'. 

"I just got weirdly emotional backstage. I'm sorry. This is my last London show in a while. I've got to go away and write some new songs. But this is a taster. It's called 'Strangeness and Charm'," she said.

Welch was said to be visibly upset, wiping tears from her eyes as she spoke.

The singer recently announced that Glastonbury was to be her last festival performance for some time.
