Davis Guggenheim has dropped out of directing the scheduled 3D movie about Canadian teenage popstar Justin Bieber.

Guggenheim has left the film because he is preoccupied with promoting his upcoming documentary, 'Waiting For Superman'.

It is believed that Paramount are now on the search for a new director to bring Bieber's life story to the big screen.

The movie is scheduled for release on February 11, 2011.
