Gaga inspired by Prop 8

Pop icon Lady GaGa was so overjoyed to hear that California's ban on gay marriage was struck down in court that she "instantly" began writing new music to celebrate.

Same-sex marriage was legalized in the state in 2008, but the decision was reversed just six months later by the controversial Proposition 8 legislation.

Gaga took to her Twitter account after hearing that the ban on same-sex marriages in California had been lifted and wrote, "At the moments notice of PROP 8 DEATH I instantly began to write music (sic)," she wrote. BUBBLE DREAMS FOREVER! FULL EQUALITY! THIS IS JUST THE BEGININNG! REJOICE and CELEBRATE gay communities and straight all over the world. Our voices are being heard! Loud! SCREAM LOUD AMERICANOS!."
