Brandon Flowers has revealed he avoids fans on the road by using the alias Tijuana Heston when checking into hotels.

The singer decided to hide his true identity when on tour, after a few "strange scares" in the past with fans.

Revealing how he goes unnoticed, The Killers frontman said, "My check-in name! My buddy's grandpa's name was Tijuana, which I though was great. I can't really explain the Heston. The Killers have had a couple of strange scares with fans in hotels. Although it's not so bad this time. Right now, nobody knows what's going on. I'm a little bit more... incognito."

Flowers releases his debut solo album, 'Flamingo' next month.
