Jay-Z tops 'Hip-Hop Cash Kings' list

Jay-Z has dethroned last year's Hip-Hop Cash King, 50 Cent, by snagging the title of richest rappers, in the latest edition of Forbes Magazine.

The Brooklyn hip-hop mogul, who also runs his own record label, Roc Nation, has stolen the title after making $35 million in the last 12 months alone.

The list was compiled from sales of tour tickets, merchandise and his album, 'Blueprint 3' between June 2009 - June 2010.

P Diddy is the second highest earner, raking in $30 million over the same period and Kanye West is third, earning $25 million.

Jay-Z's earnings are said to be considerably less than his wife Beyoné's, who has reportedly raked in $87 million in the last 12 months.
